My last post mentioned our struggle with not being able to get Shae's Baha on with the cup. Her follow up appointment with the surgeon's office is not until June 7th, so we will have the cup at least until then. Not hearing for another 2 weeks is not a happy thought. So, with a little advice from some Microtia Group friends and some innovation from a great website (http://www.forwerd.net/), we figured out a great work around. Amazing how a little nickel-sized piece of plastic can make things all better! I cut a slit in the elastic band for the protective cup, popped in the Forwerd block, and snapped on the Baha. Problem solved! It's not exactly subtle, but it works.
